This was a contest entry for a logo that was originally very cartoony. The contestants were asked to make a logo that kept to the original feel of the old one. I tried to make a more simplistic cartoon shape of most of the pieces of the logo.
The Logo above narrows down the amount of colours to 3(4 if counting the grey smile) instead of the large amount of colours versus shades below.
The character was a very simplified version of the one below, keeping the blue of his shirt in some way but turned the above version shirt black for the sake of fitting with the rest of the logo. The green lights on the computer server was replaced with blue to match the other blue and was narrowed down to one light.
I had to look at a few server images online to figure out a simplified look.
